Working with Final Term Grades in PowerTeacher Pro 

  • In PowerTeacher Pro, click on the Grading charm, then click on Traditional under the Grades heading.

  • In the top-right corner of the page, there is a drop down selector you can use to choose the term you want to review.

  • Each student’s final grade for the term you selected will display to the right of the student’s name.  If you need to override a calculated grade in PowerTeacher Pro, this is where you will do it.  Click on the student’s final grade.  The score inspector will appear to the right of the screen.  Change the student’s grade.  Please note: the student’s grade and the student’s percentage MUST match.

  • To the right of the grade column, you can view student’s attendance information and any missing, late, or incomplete assignments you have flagged for that student.

  • When you have completed your grades for the term and are ready to finalize grades for your data manager, you will use the Final Grade Status button in the bottom-right of this screen.

  

  • This button will bring up a window similar to the window in PowerTeacher Gradebook.  Just check the box to verify that your grades are complete.  You can type a comment if you would like.  Click Save when you are finished.

 

Reviewing Grades and Comments in PowerTeacher Pro

  • To review grades for all terms, click on the Grading charm, then click on All Reporting Terms.

  • Click on the arrow in the top-right corner of the table to view the remaining terms for the course.

  • To review comments for a term, click on the Grading charm, then click on Comment Verification.

  • You can enter comments on this screen by clicking in the final grade column or the comment column for the student.

  • The score inspector will open on the right side of the screen.  Click on the Comment tab.

  • You can type in a comment or you can click on the Comment Bank button to pull up the district’s comment bank.

  • Please note: it is recommended to use the district comment bank for report card comments.  If you choose to type your own comment, please keep it brief to keep the report card down to one page.

  • Please note: comments for report cards are only pulled from quarter terms.  Do not put comments for report cards in semester terms (S1, S2) or the final term (F1).
